Our Focus
For a decade we have focused purely on building effective leadership teams for investor backed growth companies. We truly understand the types of challenges commonly faced by growth companies backed by ambitious investors, the rare types of leaders these companies need to move the needle, where to find these rare types of leaders in the market and how to attract them.
Our Service
We were set up, not to be a volume player but, to be a provider that offers a tailored, rigorous and timely service to a small handful of clients at any one time. Below explains how we run truly tailored, rigorous and timely searches for our clients.
For each search, at the client engagement stage we get to know the client and deeply understand their business, strategic plans, key opportunities and challenges, how the role being hired ties in and the type of candidate and skillsets needed. We then provide appropriate challenge where necessary and ensure all stakeholders are aligned on the role and candidate requirements.
At the market research stage we typically spend 100+ hours identifying those prospective candidates that fit into our client’s ideal candidate set. We do this by conducting extensive research into the clients market, relevant companies in the market and prospective candidates involved with these companies past and present, conducting research into business deals in our clients market and prospective candidates involved with these businesses past and present, taking candidate recommendations from our extensive network of business leaders and investors and reviewing our extensive candidate network built over a decade.
At the candidate engagement stage we strategise on how to present the opportunity to generate maximum interest from prospective candidates in the market and then approach and engage these individuals. We thoroughly qualify these individuals to assess whether they have the experience, skills and traits to be successful. We create a shortlist of the best candidates and introduce our client to these individuals. We then closely manage a thorough and timely interview, feedback, offer and acceptance process.
Only ever serving a small handful of clients at any one time, we pride ourselves on moving quickly for our clients. We typically shortlist permanent roles within 3 weeks of engagement and we typically help our clients secure their preferred candidate with 6 to 10 weeks of engagement. We typically shortlist and fill interim roles within 1 to 2 weeks.
Our Fees
Our fee structure is simple, fair and largely results based.
For permanent searches we charge a fee of 25% of the preferred candidate’s basic salary. This is made up of a £10,000 retainer and then only once we have helped our client secure their preferred candidate at the end of the search process do we charge the remainder of the fee.
For interim searches there are no upfront fees, we simply help our client hire the right interim operator and then charge a fee of 25% of the preferred candidate’s rate billed every two weeks.
